After 22 days of this blog, and 15 posts, the top three blogs account for 22% of the total traffic. Since some of these posts were early and some recent, it is not a good quantitative guide to what interests or worries readers, but it may be a pointer.
The top issues are:
Water usage (7%),
Increased volumes of road traffic (9.5%), and
Earthquakes (5.5%).
All these issues are not, in my view, significant problems for shale gas development - but they concern readers, and we should take that concern seriously (I hope the politicians are listening).
The purpose of this blog is to answer current important questions concerning the development of shale gas in the UK with balanced factual responses that are supported by evidence and experience. The important thing is that the comments should be clear, rational, scientific, balanced and reliable. The entire contents of this blog represent only my own views and are not the official view of any other body or institution.
